What is a pet sitter?
A pet sitter is a loving, caring, professional who provides excellent care for your pets and your home while you are at work or away on a vacation.
What kind of pets do you provide care for?
We care for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, fennec foxes, chinchillas, ferrets, hedgehogs, birds, snakes, lizards, chickens, goats, fish, and more.
Will you care for my pets without meeting them?
We will not provide services without meeting with you and your pets first. Meet and greets need to take place a minimum of three days before services begin.
Do you need a key to my home?
It is required that you have a key available for us to access your property. Even if we will be entering by garage door or doors with a lock code. This is to ensure that we have access in the event of a power outage or equipment malfunction. You have the option to use a lock box or to hide the key in a specific location. You must show us where the key is at the time of the meet and greet. Services will not be approved until a key is provided.
Are you bonded and insured?
Absolutely! We carry liability insurance and all sitters are bonded through Pet Sitters Associates. Please feel free to ask any questions about our insurance policy.
How many visits per day will you provide for my dog, puppy, cat, or other small animal?
We will provide up to three daytime visits for your puppy or dog, up to two daily visits for cats, and one daily visit for other small animals. Additional visits can be requested for special circumstances.
If I schedule a 30, 45, or 60 minute walk for my dog, do you walk for the entire timeframe?
Walk times begin at the door and end back at the door. We allow for 5 additional minutes to refill water, and put leashes and harnesses on. So if you request a 30 minute walk, we will walk for 30 minutes and use up to 5 minutes for extras. If there are other required tasks that take up more than the 5 minutes, it will cut in to walk time. If the weather is extreme (too hot, too cold, storming, etc.), the walk will be shorter for the safety of your dog and your sitter. Indoor play will be provided so your dog can burn off energy safely.
Can a visit be scheduled for a specific time?
We cannot guarantee specific times as weather, traffic, and schedule changes have an effect on arrival times. We require a two hour time frame, but will do our best to arrive as close to the preferred visit time as possible.
Do you offer vacation pet sitting for dogs?
We do not offer full pet sitting for dogs at this time. Our hours of operation are from 8am-6pm. We will accommodate services during our regular hours if a neighbor, friend, or family member provides a nighttime bathroom break for your dogs.
Do you board pets?

If I live outside of your service area, will you still care for my pets?
Our service areas are Brighton. Pinckney, Howell, and Hidden Lake Subdivision in South Lyon Michigan. If an available sitter team lives within fifteen minutes of your location, it may be possible to provide services for your pets.
Will I have the same pet sitter or dog walker every time?
We work as a team to ensure your pet never goes without the care you schedule. We will assign the same pet sitter as often as possible!
May I give my pet sitter or dog walker gratuity?
Tips are not expected, but they are very much appreciated! 100% of the tips go to the pet sitter or dog walker.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be received within 24 hours of scheduled visit or full amount of visit will apply. The 24 hour limit is reached at the beginning of the time window in which your service is scheduled.
